In class today.
I removed the beat up button-down collar on this boring old banker stripe Brooks Brothers shirt (that I had tailored a couple years ago) and replaced it with a white band collar I made using fabric from an old wine-stained tuxedo shirt.
I haven’t worn this shirt in months, and now it’s one of my favorites.

This morning I presented my final collection (2 full outfits) for the Menswear Design program at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
40 outfits from 20 students will be judged this afternoon by a panel of non-affiliated “fashion experts” from NYC. Top students will be selected to be displayed in the FIT museum.
Sorry for the slow posts lately, I’ve been in the tailor shop.
More soon,
Dan
A sneek peek at one of the pieces in my final collection (2 full looks) for the menswear design program at the Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC.
Grey flannel quilted puffer waistcoat. Sewing the quilted fabric was tricky but it turned out even better than I imagined.
I’m excited. Top collections make the museum!!

This @CremoCream daily face moisturizer came in a few weeks ago and I can’t go a day without it - or at least I can tell when I have.
A daily moisturizer is the best thing you can do to keep your skin looking refreshed and young.
